Thousands of people are expected to enjoy the tastes and smells of Huddersfield?s Food and Drink Festival.
The festival launches next week and organisers hope it will be bigger and better than ever.
The four-day event kicks off on Thursday, August 8, and runs through to the Sunday, with more than 70 food and drink stalls packing into St George?s Square.
As the home of the largest number of microbreweries in the UK, you?d expect Huddersfield to feature an abundance of locally brewed ales and that will certainly be the case at the 13th annual festival.
Visitors will also find food stalls to cater for all tastes ? from spicy street curries to artisan ice cream and barbecues with locally reared meats.
Some 80% of this year?s stallholders are Yorkshire businesses, with the majority of the remaining ones coming from less than an hour?s drive away.
This year?s main event sponsors are Heineken and The John Smith?s Stadium in Huddersfield.
Richard Sandland, regional sales director for Heineken UK said: ?We?re delighted to partner with the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival.
?The festival is a celebration of regional flavours, with the very best tastes of Yorkshire on display by local chefs, brewers and producers.
?The stadium has been part of Huddersfield?s community for almost 20 years and we wanted to show support for this prestigious event.
?Events like the festival help to put Huddersfield firmly on the map as a key destination in Yorkshire.?
Festival highlights include:
Huddersfield chef Barrington Douglas launching a new range of Caribbean products, including a Jamaican jerk pork pie, combining a traditional British classic with exotic Caribbean spices.
Festival at dusk which will feature live music into the evenings on both Friday and Saturday with performances by Helter Skelter, Propane Penny, Under the Archway and I love colour. Stalls selling hot food and drink will stay open until 10pm.
There will be over 30 free masterclasses and demonstrations by chefs including Phil Leverington and forager Angus Ferguson, founder of Scotland?s award-winning liquid deli Demijohn.
The festival?s Kid?s Zone runs over all four days and brings free workshops with some of Yorkshire?s finest specialists, looking at everything from chocolate to pizzas.
As part of the festival, Discover Huddersfield will be running a number of trails around the town to be enjoyed in and among the event itself.
Festival manager Cathy Burger, said: ?We?re in our 13th year now and the festival genuinely gets better each year.
?The quality of produce on sale over the four days is fantastic and we?re delighted to be welcoming lots of new stallholders as well as some firm favourites that our regular visitors just wouldn?t be without.
?There?s always such a great atmosphere at the festival, and of course plenty of sunshine is always welcome.?
