Microsoft has cut the price of the Surface Pro this weekend by $100 in the US and other regions
The reductions, reported by The Verge, will bring the price of Microsoft's Surface Pro tablet, in both 64GB and 128GB models, down by $100.
The price cuts follow in last month's Surface RT tablet footsteps as Microsoft applied a 30% cut to the Surface RT price.
Microsoft told The Verge, "We've been seeing great worldwide success with Surface RT pricing and keyboard-cover promotions over the past several months and are proud to offer Surface Pro at more affordable prices starting today."
Last month, Microsoft shares showed a slump of 7 per cent and Microsoft admitted to the Surface tablet sales costing the company $900 million.
According to CVG, Microsoft produced around 4 million Surface tablets for launch, but have only sold around a quarter of them.
The Surface Pro price cuts apply to the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Rumours circulated at the beginning of this year around a possible Microsoft Surface Phone and Microsoft Surface RT 2.
Microsoft are now rumoured to be updating the Surface Pro with a Haswell processor, and apparently testing of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor is underway, The Verge reports.
